Nutritional Advice

Diet can have, and often has, an effect on your health. Remember that food is what our body cells use and need to survive and replicate. Essentially, food equals life.

The number of conditions resulting from poor diet varies and it is quite extensive. Some examples are:

  • deficiency diseases such as scurvy (deficiency of vitamin C),
  • health-threatening conditions like obesity,
  • metabolic syndrome, i.e. diabetes, cardiovascular disease,
  • osteoporosis.

This is just a short list but it could be extended and a few pages would be filled with medical conditions caused by poor diet.

Do not use your body as a trash bin. Eat good food. Research shows that people who eat at least 5 pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables per day are healthier and have a longer life span. Remember that the first and most important source of life is water. Your body needs everything in the right amount, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, protein, vitamin, and water.

As a patient you need to know that your chiropractor is well trained in advising you what the best food to eat or avoid is and has good knowledge of the guidelines on daily mount needed of each nutrient.

If you ever have any doubts, please ask any question to the practitioner.

Remember, you are what you eat.
